Mrs. Charmaine Napoleon-Ramsay, former Industrial Relations Officer with the BEC has taken up the post of HR Director at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

At the BEC, Mrs. Napoleon Ramsay was responsible for the Confederations’ training and research pogramme, where she has conducted training and facilitated retreats for a number of organizations.

While at the Confederation, Mrs. Napoleon-Ramsay restructured the BEC’s biannual “Stepping into Supervision and Management” course which equipped managers and supervisors with the necessary tools for managing in diverse environments and also facilitated the BEC’s Strategic Planning exercise.

As part of her training at the BEC, she attended several overseas training courses including a visit to Washington DC where the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), in Washington DC through its INDES programme, sponsored the course Design and Management of Social Policies and Programmes. In addition to this she visited the UK’s Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) which aims to improve organisations and working life through better employment relations.

Speaking at a farewell lunch in her honour recently, the BEC’s Executive Director Mr. Tony Walcott said that Mrs. Napoleon Ramsay had rendered tremendous service to the BEC and that the organization would miss her significantly.
